THE LOVE OF GOD
Luke 19:10 – For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” (NIV)

Genuine compassion for one another produces strength and stability because love is the foundation of enduring unity. The relationship between God and His Son (Jesus) exemplifies the unbreakable cord that emerges from love. This was demonstrated by Christ’s lifestyle and His declaration in John 10:30 that ‘I and my Father are one’. Jesus never did a thing without acknowledging His Father. Instead, He subjected His desires to God’s will because love comes with respect and submission.
God, therefore, extended His love to humanity through Jesus Christ. This type of love is called ‘Agape’. It is God’s perfect, unconditional love. Agape love is more than an emotion; it is active and sacrificial. Christ loved us so much that He sacrificed Himself on the cross at Calvary to atone for our sins. He made all these sacrifices so we could attain the status of sonship. Hallelujah! We are no more slaves but heirs of God (Romans 8:15-17).
Beloved, it does not matter how terrible your past and current atrocities are. What is important to God is your salvation and prosperity. As revealed in the Bible reading for today, Christ came purposely to restore you to your divine inheritance through salvation. This salvation includes the pardon of sin, healing, deliverance, provision, and Godly wealth. Stop basking in darkness and uncertainty, but come to the Kingdom of Light and Love. Accept Christ Today! (ACT)

1. Lord Jesus, cause me to appreciate Your love daily, never to take it for granted.
2. Father, give me a revelation of Your tender mercies and Your manner of love for me.
