FRUITFULNESS (Part 7)
Proverbs 11:25 – A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. (NIV)
Read: 2 Corinthians 9:10-11
Nothing in the order of nature lives for itself. Instead, natural phenomena serve for the benefit of others, and this function also refreshes them. For example, a river does not drink its water or cease to flow, lest it become stale. The sun does not shine inward or provide heat for itself. The trees neither eat their fruits nor do the flowers ever spread fragrance for themselves. This is because the genuine validation of fruitfulness comes from living for others.
In 2 Corinthians 5:15, Apostle Paul admonished that those who receive the new life will no longer live for themselves but for Jesus. As a child of God, you must replicate His fruitful works and shine His glory to bless others. Demonstrate Christ’s love to every nation, tribe, and tongue, such as when He died to redeem the world. Live like a lamp that burns itself to give light to others, and you will be refreshed. Today’s Bible text confirms that whoever revives others will never diminish in capacity to do more. As you reach out, you will have enough room to bring forth in due seasons.
Beloved, as you live for others in your quest to remain relevant in the scheme of fruitfulness, never forget your source. God is the One who gives seed to the farmer and the bread for food. He will give you all the seed you need and make it grow so there will be a great harvest from your good works. He will make you rich in every way so that you can continue to give freely. Through these, nations will give thanks to God.
PRAYER
Hymn: Anywhere with Jesus – Jessie B. Pounds (1887)
1. Father, help me to recognise that I am made as a vessel to bless others for Your glory.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Father, help me to sow the good seed at the right time and to reap bountifully.
2. Holy Spirit, help me not to see Your corrections and instructions as punishment.
3. Father, help me, my family, and the Church to see beyond our wildest dreams but discern Your perfect plan.
