FRUITFULNESS (Part 5)
Mark 1:35 – And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. (KJV)
Read: Proverbs 11:25, Mark 4:20
A significant attribute of the process of fruitfulness is silence. One can rest assured of genuine growth through the state of meekness and quietness experienced during the stage of development. The central scripture in this series reveals that fruitfulness requires dying (John 12:24). The phase of death implies a time of silence when it seems the seed is not active, yet it is developing into maturity.
This is equivalent to the ways of God. Habakkuk 2:20 says, “But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.” Fruitfulness in the spirit and body comes with standing still before God because it creates an avenue to hear growth-orientated instructions and be empowered to proceed. Today’s Bible focus tells how Christ often went to a solitary place to pray in the early mornings. This Jesus did to strengthen His relationship with God, thereby making His ministry effective and fruitful. If you desire to be rooted in God and produce booming fruits, you must maintain the culture of silence before God, and He shall equip you with the materials for fruitfulness.
On the other hand, a renowned Chinese philosopher once said, “A seed grows with no sound, but a tree falls with a tremendous noise. Destruction has noise, but creation is quiet. This is the power of silence. Grow silently.” Truly, when building a gigantic edifice from the foundation to the completion, you hardly take note of the operations. However, if the building were to be demolished, the sound of the crash would fill the atmosphere. Beloved, embrace growth and fruitfulness, which is silent above the noisy destruction. Learn to be positive and invest in people and valuable things instead of bringing them down. By such actions, you shall be sowing good seeds and bearing lasting fruits (Proverbs 11:25).
