OFFER GLORIOUS PRAISE
Psalms 66:2 – Sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! (ESV)
Read: 1 Timothy 1:17, Acts 13:22
God is the eternal King and the only wise God who dwells in honour and glory. As David wrote in the Bible Focus for Today, every child of God must give honour by offering glorious praise and exalting the Lord with an attitude of worship. In other words, glorious praise refers to the quality of exaltation rendered to Heaven with a devoted heart that moves God. In 1 Chronicles 29:10-20, the Psalmist exemplified how to give glorious praise when he adored God in the congregation, inspiring everyone to join him. Unsurprisingly, God called David a man after His heart because he lived a life of praise.
To offer glorious praise is more precious than gold, incense, or mere music because it comes from a heart of humility, spiritual joy, and reverence to God. This was the kind of praise Paul and Silas offered God in Acts 16:16-40. Despite being in prison, they worshipped and prayed to the Lord, leading to their miraculous release as their chains and doors broke loose.
Beloved, to receive divine blessings like David, Paul, and Silas, you must direct your heart, strength, lifestyle, and possessions to glorify the Lord. Let all that is within you showcase and sing of God’s magnificence! As you make this your daily habit, God shall permanently open the windows of Heaven to bless you.
PRAYER
Hymn: Praise to the Lord, the Almighty – Joachim Neander (1680)
1. Lord Jesus, please clothe me with the glorious garment of praise.
2. Father, please let everything about me glorify You, always.
3. Go ahead and bless the Lord now and daily!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Father, show me mercy in any way I have wronged you on the path of destiny.
2. Holy Spirit, breathe on me, my family, and the Church and revive our dead vision.
3. Father, open the doors of unlimited opportunities for me among nations.
