WORKING FOR YOUR GOOD
Romans 8:28 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)
Read: Genesis 37-50
Life sometimes presents mysteries and questions begging for answers. However, the story of Joseph provides encouragement regarding life’s situations. At 17, he dreamed that his elders bowed to him. This shows how powerful he would become, but the boy’s reality negated what he saw in the dream. Instead of elevation, Joseph found himself in slavery and prison. Still, he remained diligent and feared the Lord, and through his experience, what he saw in the dream became a reality.
Beloved, the pattern of your life may look similar to Joseph’s. Many dreams and prophecies concerning you have yet to manifest. You are diligent at work and for God, but there is nothing to show. You give but still lack essential provisions. Whatever you are facing currently might be a sign of greatness. As the Bible text for today reveals, when you love God and remain hard-working (like Joseph), everything works out for your benefit.
Therefore, remain sensitive and maintain your focus on God. Never compare your present with the glory ahead. Instead, wait on God’s promise for you, and He who orchestrated Joseph’s destiny will come through for you and perfect your testimony.
PRAYER OF DECREE
Song: All Things Are Working for My Good – Travis Greene (2015)
1. I (name) refuse to look down on myself, my situation, or others. I understand that my labour of love, prayers, and diligence will yield results at God’s appointed time. The God who stood by Joseph is with me. I am encouraged and marvellously helped. My turning point is now. Thank You, Jesus!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Father, I declare that no foreign god shall take Your position in my life, family, or Church.
2. Powers, molesting me spiritually and physically; bow to the Lordship of Jesus!
3. Father, just as You stood by Joseph, please enable me to fulfil my life’s purpose at the appropriate time.
