YOU SHALL RISE AGAIN!
Proverbs 24:10, 16 – For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.(KJV)
A donkey fell into a deep hole so that the owner tried all he could to save it but all to no avail. Consequently, he decided to bury it by gathering his neighbours to pour dirt to cover the donkey, which wouldn’t stop crying. But, in a few moments, the animal had stopped sobbing and was out of the hole. The donkey was very wise that the more the filth poured on him, the faster he shook his body, so they went beneath, and stood on them till it was out.
Beloved, the mess you got into, in September does not signify your end. If you don’t quit praying and working hard, you will emerge as read in today’s Bible Reading. Know it that no matter how religious you are; life will never be 100% rosy at every time (John 16:33). Moreover, nobody is excused from trials, and if Jesus could be tempted (Matthew 4:1-11), then, be ready to persevere (James 1:12) and rise again even as the wise donkey did (2 Corinthians 4:8-9).
Whatever the trying times in your life, don’t fret! Instead, this October, take every dirt (challenge) thrown at you at work, home, school or community as stepping stones to the top. Above all, turn everything to God in prayer and eat the Word always! (Philippians 4:6-7).
Hymn: I Must Tell Jesus — Elisha A. Hoffman (1894)
1. Father, thank You for the gift of life, new day and month, provision, and encouragement.
2. Lord, please let the grace and support I need to sail through life’s journey; be released to me!
(THE MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. I decree that from today, my family, the church, nation and I, shall rise never to crash anymore!
2. This last quarter of 2020, my achievements shall surpass previous success.
3. Speak into the week and month!
THE HOLY GHOST SERVICE IS TOMORROW!
