YOU ARE THE BEST OF GOD!
Matthew 25:15 – To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. (ESV)
Read: 2 Corinthians 10:12
A crow thought it had it all until it saw a parrot with two colours. It then approached the parrot, which said, “I lived a very happy life until I saw a peacock with multiple colours.” The crow then went on a visit to the peacock in the zoo and saw people gather to see it. The crow said, “Peacock, you are so beautiful. Daily, people come to see you, but when they see me, they quickly shoo me away. I think you’re the happiest bird on earth.”
The peacock replied, “I always thought I was the most gorgeous and happiest bird. But it’s because of my beauty that I’m trapped in a zoo. I’ve examined the zoo very carefully and realised that the crow is the only bird not kept in a cage. So, for the past few days, I’ve been thinking that if I were a crow, I could happily roam everywhere.”
Beloved, this is so true because your story is so unique that it is unworthy of any comparison. Most times, the essence of comparing yourself with others is to either feel superior or inferior, but both will do no good. Comparing yourself to others is a robbery of your originality because you were uniquely created by God for a purpose, as seen in today’s Bible text. Therefore, you must focus on your peculiarities in order to achieve your divine purpose while also appreciating others’ uniqueness.
I encourage you to crave the mind of Christ and never concern yourself with things that shouldn’t concern you. If God has made it that way, then you must not make it your burden. Be contented!
