1 Peter 5:7 – Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (NIV)

Read: Matthew 6:33

People often become afraid of things they cannot see or have control over. But, in most cases, what is feared eventually turns out to be fine. A study carried out shows that eighty to ninety per cent of issues that people worried about never happened. Meanwhile, in the midst of the challenges, the people may have fretted so much that they lost hope or lost their lives. Be that as it may, God is saying to someone reading this text, “Don’t bother about anything. I will sort you out”.

Beloved, worry is the enemy of faith and a tool used to sow fear into lives. This is because an anxious person overthinks the future without effective planning or productivity. In a world of uncertainties, many things may give rise to worries. But regardless of the situations today, as seen in our Bible reading, know that there is a God who cares for you and is able to resolve all issues.

Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” This means that asking God for whatever you need and always thanking Him is the antidote to fear and trouble. But how can you pray to a God with whom you have no personal relationship?

I encourage you to accept Jesus or rededicate your life to Him. Look beyond past disappointments and stay focused. The Holy Spirit will come through for you to guide your path to stability and peace.

Hymn: Jesus Saves — Priscilla J. Owens (1882)

1. Father, thank You for keeping and blessing me thus far in the year.

2. Father, I don’t want to worry again. Please give solutions to my problem (mention).

1. All the good things that I have not been able to achieve before, Father, please release them to me this very month of February.

2. Any power battling my rise and the good things in my life, scatter!

3. Father, please let lines fall in pleasant places for me, my family, the Church, and the nation this month.
