Luke 15:3-32 (10) – In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (NIV)

God, in His lovingkindness, gave us His only son so we can be saved (John 3:16; Romans 6:23). For this reason, anyone who accepts and believe in Jesus has an inheritance in heaven (1 Peter 1:3-4). The devil knowing this, would always try to build a separation between God and man (Isaiah 59:1-2). Nevertheless, thank the Lord for His redemptive power that cleanses our iniquities when we repent (Isaiah 1:18-19). Perhaps you are already saved; appreciate God for your salvation, but what about the unsaved?

In our Bible reading, Jesus spoke the parables of the lost sheep, a coin, and the prodigal son, which summarises that heaven rejoices over that man and woman you preach to and win over to God’s kingdom. The angels celebrate whenever you lead that child and teenager to Christ. Therefore, the Holy Spirit is reminding us that as children of God, we are commissioned to continually spread the gospel (Matthew 28:19-20). We saw an example of Peter who, after this great commission and the Pentecost experience, did not sit back but preached and won a record 3,000 souls at once (Acts 2:14-41).

Beloved, if you love God, you will do His will on earth and manifest His power (John 14:12-17). Take it upon yourself daily to go all out, in your circle of influence and with your conduct, to demonstrate Christ’s love and save souls. With this, even among other things, shall our heavenly Father be pleased, and when God is delighted with a man, the rest is history (Matthew 6:33).

Hymn: Jesus Saves — Priscilla J. Owens (1882)

1. Father, I thank You for saving me. Please, empower me to win souls and follow them up.

2. Father, let this territory (Mention) be won for You so they can enjoy lasting peace.

1. Spend quality time alone with God to listen and hear what He says.
