WHO IS IN YOUR BOAT? (3)

Psalms 34:8 – Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (NIV)

The difference between the victors and victims is that the victors cling their anchors to the solid rock. Sometimes, life’s situations can be discouraging, but having Christ as our pillar guarantees ultimate peace. Proverbs 18:10 tells us, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is safe” (KJV). When you make Jesus the steerer of your boat, there are safety, sound mind, and strength available to you, among other things.

The scenario in the third Book of Daniel gives a clear indication that God never forsakes His own when they put trust in Him. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to the golden image. They had God as their confidence, and their challenge became a platform for promotion (vs 30). Similarly, when the Lord is in your boat, it does not matter the intensity of the stormy sea; you can rest assured of safe arrival. For example, after Goliath boasted against the children of Israel, David, who had God as his arsenal, killed the Philistine giant by one stone (1 Samuel 17). No wonder the same David wrote the testimony about God in today’s Bible reading. He further emphasised that whoever depends on God is blessed.

Beloved, I urge you this day that, regardless of the disturbing waves in the economy, health, or the community. Whatever it is! Hold on to God and continue to trust Him; He shall lead you to your destination. Therefore, you will call on Jesus now. Talk it out with Him — He answers all prayers (Ephesians 3:20-21).

PRAYER

Hymn: He Will Answer Every Prayer — Mary Bernstecher (1914)

1. Father, in my submissiveness, I invite You to live permanently in my heart (boat).

(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)

1. I receive divine strength and support to overcome every storm of life (mention).

2. Any power, waging war against the peace of my marriage, career, family, nation, and the Church, be silent.

3. Rock of Ages, Jesus Christ, grind the relentless attackers of my life to powder.

4. Father, give me a deeper revelation of You and who I am!

YOU ARE BLESSED!
