“UNBELIEVING GENERATION”
Mark 9:14-26 (19) – “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” (NIV)

Today’s Bible reading gave an account of when the disciples could not heal the boy possessed by an unclean spirit. Before Jesus healed the boy, He referred to the people as an “unbelieving generation” and further said in verse 23, “All things are possible to him that believeth.”
It is clearly impossible to trust or expect anything from someone you don’t believe in. The multitude does not have full faith in Jesus. Likewise, the disciples’ faith was not strong enough to command the boy’s deliverance. This is because without genuinely believing in Christ and growing in His knowledge, there won’t be a manifestation of what is expected.
2 Chronicles 20:20 says, “Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” This means that the key to activating God’s reality in the physical realm is believing (faith). Also, listening to God’s vessels, who help you develop in faith, causes spiritual prosperity. In addition, growing in the knowledge of Christ by studying the Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead strengthens believers’ faith.
There is also a dimension of prosperity that you won’t experience until you believe and obey God’s instruction concerning tithes and offerings. Don’t deprive yourself by joining the “unbelieving generation,” which discredits Godly values and principles. Ask the Holy Spirit for a fresh revelation of Christ and to help you overcome your unbelief. By doing so, you will not only experience miracles but also command the miraculous.

1. Father, help my unbelief. Please uphold my faith and make me the epitome of signs and wonders.

2. Any power using my innocence or impartial involvement against me. Judgement of God! Fall upon them.
3. Father, please heal our nation, families, and Church of every internal and external pollution!
