Proverbs 3:5-6 (5) – Trust the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. (GW)

Tony sat in front at a party while the usher served food from the back, and unfortunately, it did not reach him. Again! The drinks were shared from the front role but could not get to Tony because he had moved behind. He was angry and attempting to leave when he saw three ushers carrying a bowl each. This time, he was clever to sit in the middle. To his surprise, one usher started distributing from the front while another began from the back. When they got to him, the food had finished! Tony was feeling embarrassed when the third usher told him to pick from her bowl. He joyfully stretched his hand, and guess what was in the pan? Toothpicks!

The truth is that our location determines our allocation—our placement defines our residence in destiny. Therefore, it is important to be divinely placed, and this would only happen when we intentionally rely on God to direct our path. Also, when God marks you for blessings, nobody or circumstances can derail it (Genesis 22:17-18). Moving from one position or Church to another without divine leading will end in futility. Life is about timing and decision. It is easy to be swayed by the doctrine of men and our quest for a good life, but as seen in our Bible reading, we must trust in God and be led by the Holy Spirit. Through Him, we can discern and make the right moves always.

Song: Order My Steps — The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir (1996)

1. Father, let my move always align with Your move.

1. Holy Spirit, make me sensitive never to miss Your call and my defining moment.

2. The garment of shame and disaster, assigned for my family, neighbours and the Church, catch fire!

3. Father, reveal Yourself to me that I may know You more.

4. I shall not be entangled with whatever will put handcuffs on my hand and chains on my feet.

5. I shall not be a victim of a negative misplaced identity.
