Psalm 119:89-91 (89) – Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens. (NIV)

Read: Genesis 21:1-7; Isaiah 55:8-13

Today’s Bible reading reveals that the word of God is certain and confirmed. When God created the heavens and the earth, it was by His word. This means that if God has said anything concerning you, it will surely become a reality! Lamentation 3:37 says, “Who shall say a thing and it comes to pass, if God hadn’t approved it?” In other words, no force, rules, or oppression can determine the rhythm of your life; only God can shape your destiny through His promises and His word!

In the Book of Genesis, Abraham was close to 100 years old, while Sarah was 90 years old without a child. God assured them that they would have their own child (Isaac), and Sarah laughed it off. Eventually, Sarah became a mother because God had already spoken and approved it. I pray for you that every contrary report about your destiny bows to the efficacy of God’s word, in Jesus’ name.

Beloved, in whose word will you believe—man or God? Maybe you have lost hope due to the current situation, which has led people to conclude that you can never make it. Do not worry! Keep working hard and holding on to God’s promise that says you will prosper. The medics say you cannot be fruitful, but your creator says you shall multiply. Whatever the condition, all you need is “a word in the word (Bible)” to counter every opposing opinion to God’s agenda for your life. Activate the word in every circumstance, and it will work for you!

Hymn: Look and Live — William A. Ogden (1887)

1. Father, everything You have purposed for my life this season, please perfect it by Your word.

1. Fire of God, find me out to revive and refresh me daily!

2. Let the evil inheritance hibernating in my body and that of my children dry up!

3. Wherever I have been paused in my journey to greatness, Father, grant me speed!
