THE VOICE OF THE SPIRIT
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” (NIV)
Christ unveiled the ministry of the Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us in the way (John 14:16 & 26; 15:26; 16:12-33). Therefore, the Holy Spirit, who is also our advocate, never keeps silent. As seen in our Bible reading, He speaks and leads us in the right path (Psalms 32:8). The good news is that everyone who accepts Jesus receives the Holy Ghost (Ephesians 1:13; Romans 8:14). Now, whether you acknowledge His presence and yield to Him, is another matter!
Beloved, has your heart and ears become blank to the Holy Spirit? If yes! Examine yourself; to identify the noise around you that wouldn’t allow you to grasp His ‘small still voice’ (1 Kings 19:11-13). Get rid of the distractions of sin, disobedience, and the little foxes that cause you to grieve the Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). Indeed, we must be God’s sheep, sensitive and submissive, to recognise the voice of the Holy Spirit (John 10:27). He shall continually communicate with you!
Hymn: Spirit of the Living God – Daniel Iverson (1926)
- Father, please baptise me afresh with the Holy Ghost and power.
- Lord, please revive my prayer life and altar of worship!
- Jehovah! Like never, please use me for Your signs and wonders.
- Anyway, I have been limiting myself, Father, please open my eyes to make amends.
- Any circumstances, making my friends and I miss destiny-changing opportunities, cease!
YOUR WEEK SHALL BE GLORIOUS!
