THE TRUTH ABOUT MONEY
Ecclesiastes 10:19 – A party gives laughter, wine gives happiness, and money gives everything! (NLT)
Read: 1 Kings 11:1–11; Matthew 6:19-33
No better person can testify about money than King Solomon did in today’s Bible text. This is because he had partied all his life as king and tasted the wine, yet Solomon acknowledged that money answers everything. Money is the key to the physical essentials of life! Christ also showed the importance of money when He instructed Peter to take the coins for tax from a fish’s mouth (Matthew 17:24–27).
There are several theories of money, but do not be deceived into thinking that money is evil because God is interested in your prosperity. The only issue, according to 1 Timothy 6:10–14, is that when you value riches above your creator and other important things, there are bound to be problems. When you seek wealth in place of God’s kingdom, your heart will be diverted, leading to greed, pride, and vanity.
Beloved, note that King Solomon, who testified about money, eventually had his heart turned from God through what he acquired with wealth, though the Book of Ecclesiastes 12:13–14 suggests that he repented. I pray for you this day that you will never tangle with things that will trigger your doom, in Jesus’ name. I encourage you that as you ask God for money and riches, make the Holy Spirit your manager; He will direct your ways!

2. Father, where money speaks, please give me a voice and the wisdom to manage resources!
3. Father, when riches come, help me remain humble and obedient in giving and tithing!

2. I decree! I shall not beg for bread nor lose my divine inheritance to sin and pride.
