Luke 15:8-10 (10) – In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (NIV)
Everyone has an inheritance in heaven, but the devil tries to bring about a separation between man and God (Isaiah 59:1-2). God, being merciful, gave His only son so that we might be saved from damnation. Thank God for the redeemed ones, but what about the unsaved souls? In our Bible reading, Jesus spoke a parable about the lost coin, which summarises that heaven rejoices over every soul we win. There is an eruption of joy over that brother you led to Christ. Angels celebrate whenever you lead that sister to salvation.
Beloved, the Holy Spirit is reminding us as children of God that we have been commissioned to spread the gospel. If we truly love God, we will do His will on earth. Let’s take it upon ourselves daily to tell others about the gospel. Rely on the Holy Ghost to empower you and work on the hearts of those you speak to. With this, our heavenly Father will be pleased. And when God is pleased with a man, the rest is history! I leave you with this quote by Pastor E. A. Adeboye: “The secret to Godly wealth is evangelism.” (Matthew 6:33)
Hymn: Softly and Tenderly — Will L. Thompson (1880)
1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for saving my soul. Please, endow me with the grace to win souls and follow them up.
1. Father, let this territory (mention) be won for You so they can be saved from destruction.
2. Every radar of darkness and affliction beamed on me, family, and the Church, break and scatter!
3. I decree and declare: let all my entitlements be released within the next 48 hours!
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30).
