THE GOD OF MORE THAN ENOUGH
2 Corinthians 9:8 – And God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause. (GNT)
The world has witnessed dramatic challenges; nations ravaged by the pandemic, people lost their lives while top organisations shut down due to economic crisis, giving rise to unemployment. Having said these, you need not panic if genuinely you are of God who possesses the power to supply everything you require to prosper in destiny (Philippians 4:19).
Today’s Bible reading reveals that our Lord can grant all our heart desires, including spiritual and physical breakthroughs, regardless of predictions (Proverbs 10:22). After all, He owns the riches (Haggai 2:8), brought the money out from a fish’s mouth (Matthew 17:27) and fed the 5,000 with two fishes and five loaves of bread (Mark 6:30-44). Similarly, the Book of 2 Kings 4:1-7 has a story of an indebted widow who had a last pot of oil. But, Elisha told her to borrow extra containers and fill them up to the brim, which she did. Afterwards, she sold them, cleared her debts and became wealthy (a debtor to an oil merchant). That shall be your story, too, in Jesus’ name!
What have you passed through before, during and after the lockdown that has made you contemplate the future? Relax! God can give you visionary ideas that will cause you to be sought after globally. If He could reveal the strategies of Egypt’s escape from famine to a typical prisoner, Joseph, then you won’t limit your capacity (Genesis 41:27-57). Indeed, the Holy Spirit can direct you just as that Nigerian started selling groundnuts with honey and now supplies the American market (Psalms 37:23).
Beloved, don’t underestimate God; He is more than enough to turn your scarcity into abundance. However, do you pay your tithe and offering? You can’t rob heaven and expect blessings (Malachi 3:8-12).
