THE FATHER’S LOVE IS SO DEEP!
1 John 3:1-8 (1A) – See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! (NLT)
A boy painted a picture to represent the story of the prodigal son. He drew the man standing outside his house with his arms open to meet and hug his son. However, the boy sketched the father as wearing one red shoe and one blue shoe. This was done on purpose to portray God’s genuine love for His children. The father in the picture represented God, and was not interested in being fashion-conscious when he went out to meet his repentant son (Luke 15:11–32 (v. 20). He was in such a hurry to show his love to his son that he grabbed the nearest shoes that he could find.
Without further ado, if you have fallen into sin, backslide and care about the lust of the world or passing through difficult times. I encourage you to tell Jesus your story because as seen in our Bible reading, He loves you dearly. He wants to help you overcome your troubles and give you a welcoming embrace if you will return to Him. Make the bold step today to forsake your old ways and see your negative past blotted out for a new life to begin.
PRAYER
Song: How deep the Father’s love – Stuart Townsend (1990)
1. Lord Jesus, help me always to recognise and appreciate Your love.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Give thanks to God for His mercy and providence in your life.
2. Father, please allow me to personally experience Your selfless and limitless love.
3. Ancient garments of affliction and the sign of “Do not Help him/her”, attached to my life, catch fire!
YOU SHALL EXCEL
