THE ESSENCE OF TIME
John 9:4
I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. (NKJV)
Time is the currency of existence and a gauge for attaining purpose. Every personality, nation and organisation adjust its schedule to the changing seasons because time is essential to the programme of life (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). God knew the importance of time when He made all things in seven days (Genesis 8:22). No wonder in today’s Bible reading, Jesus referred to the concept of time while emphasising the urgency of His mission, because there comes a period when He won’t be physically available to minister.
What are you doing in the peak moment of your life? Are you fulfilling your divine mandate and purpose of living? Think about this, because a fellow who refuses to sow at the right hour is a waster. Time is like an account credited daily with £86,400 (seconds). Every 11:59pm, any part you failed to invest, is written as a loss. A new day opens another account, and if you don’t utilise it, the cost is yours. Time is nobody’s companion—it never stops ticking. When you understand the times like the children of Issachar, you will make the most of your day and resources to get maximum success (1 Chronicles 12:32).
Beloved, what is your mind bent on accomplishing this year? Is it that idea in business, career, ministry or marriage? If any, ‘Start Something Now’ because the time cometh when you won’t be able to stretch yourself as of before (Ecclesiastes 9:10-12). Peradventure you feel you have wasted opportunities and that your time has passed. Relax! You can still make it. God can reverse your irreversible, if you tell all to Him. Above all, the end of days is rapidly approaching. Repent, surrender to Jesus and make the most of the time because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-17).

- Holy Spirit, help me to understand time and my purpose of existence.
- Lord Jesus, turn my wasted years and efforts (mention) into great recovery and maximum accomplishments.

- Ancestral monitors, assigned to ensure that I do not amount to anything in life, expire by fire!
- Father, if need be, please raise new helpers for me, the Church, my family and friends.
- Holy Ghost, possess me with the accuracy of thought, wisdom and speech.
