THE CYCLE OF LIFE
Matthew 7:24-27 (25) – And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. (KJV)
Life comes in a cycle because, to everything under the sun, there is time. There are times for good and evil, success and failure, victory and defeat, peace and war, promotion and demotion, wealth and poverty, joy and sorrow and a time to live and die (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8). When we still have breath in our nostrils, these cycles will come. Therefore, be ready to endure because prevailing in life requires great strength and effort (John 16:33).
We see an excellent example of the wise and the foolish builders in our Bible reading. The wise one built his house on the rock, and when the rain came, the building stood firm. But the foolish man constructed his house on sand, and the home collapsed during the flood. The rock is Jesus while the sand represents other grounds we rely on. It does not matter your current experience in health, marriage, career, or relationship with people; if you make Christ your foundation, you shall prevail over the negative side of life’s cycle. I encourage you to lay aside every weight and tell all to Jesus. He shall save and shield you from your harsh reality (John 14:27).
Hymn: My Hope is Built on Nothing Less – Edward Mote (1834)
1. Father, I acknowledge that You are my source and hope. Please, help me through the phases of my life (mention).
1. Father, please turn the tide for my sake. Let me begin to enjoy Your full provision in every area of life.
2. Any possession I acquired through manipulation, I receive the grace to make restitution.
3. Father, we declare peace to the corners of our families, community, businesses and the Church.
YOUR WEEK IS BLESSED
