Job 14:7-9 (7) – “At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail. (NIV)

One of the best quotes I have ever come across is, “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.” This means that whatever was meant to destroy you will instead propel you forward into your glorious season. There is a process and time for everything in life. The butterfly we see today is only a finished product that has gone through four transformative stages of the egg, larva (caterpillar), pupa, and adulthood.

The same pattern applies to our Christian race and daily experience. We are on a journey of development, and until we see Christ in glory, no condition is permanent! If we understand the supernatural process that transformed a ground-dwelling caterpillar into a colourful flyer, then our season of fulfilment too shall manifest. We see an excellent example of Joseph in the Book of Genesis. The boy was sold into slavery and was believed to have died in Egypt. But against all odds, Joseph rose through the stages of training and discipline to stardom.

Beloved, whatever you are going through at this moment, never think of giving up. As seen in our Bible reading, there is hope for you and your situation. What you are experiencing is part of your transformational stage. You will mature steadily and blossom at your peak. But take note that while developing, you must look up to God alone. When you involve God in your journey, He will make it easier for you to stand the test of time. I encourage you to spend quality time to tell God about your issues and where you are on the ladder of destiny. You are moving to the mountaintop!

Hymn: Higher Ground — Johnson Oatman, Jr. (1898)

1. Every cloud of darkness, disgrace and difficulties hovering over my life. Expire by fire!

2. Father, please make it easy for me to go through the process of life and excel.

1. Father, transform me from a victim to a victor and take me to the mountaintop.

2. I cancel all tragedy and death programmes for my life, family, and Church.

3. Father, please turn my mess into messages of hope and my trials into triumph.
