Proverbs 3:5-6 (6) – In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (NIV)
A man built a tiny bridge with ropes across an ocean. He then drove a wheelbarrow across it several times, which the people applauded loudly. After a while, he announced if anyone was willing to get on the barrow for a ride. Immediately, the cheering ceased as silence overwhelmed the crowd— a moment ago, everyone praised the man, but they never trusted him nor the trolley to take them through the bridge.
Beloved, that is how most Christians are today because we know the impact of Christ. We praise and preach His good works, yet when faced with challenges, we easily give up like Peter did, when he walked on water (Matthew 14:22-33). Whereas, we should imitate examples as Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who trusted in the Lord despite being in the burning furnace. No wonder! They were delivered and promoted (Daniel 3:17-18).
Therefore, on that rugged journey of life, can you trust Jesus to be the vehicle that takes you through, safely? Amidst those depressing issues, can I invite you into a new realm with God? All you need is to accept Him and trust His leading as our Bible reading says— you shall enjoy rest on every side! (Isaiah 43:2).
PRAYER OF DECREE
Hymn: Near the Cross — Frances J. Crosby (1869)
I… (name), refuse to put trust in man, money, fame or even my four-legged chair when I sit. Instead, I will hope in God, come what may because I know that with Him, my trials are stepping stones to testimonies. So, help me, God!
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Thank God for the manifestation of His glory in you, hitherto.
2. Father, please do the incredible and unspeakable miracles in my life, family, neighbourhood, and the church (mention).
3. Rekindle your love for God.
