TERRITORIAL POWERS
Matthew 12:29 – Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first binds the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. (KJV)
There is an angel assigned to every person, prayer, and place (Exodus 23:20). In Daniel 10, the angel sent to Daniel was held by the fallen angel in the territory of Persia. But it took Archangel Michael to deliver the angel. In verse 20, the angel said: “Now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come”. This means there was yet another angel or spirit in charge of Greece waiting to attack God’s angel.
The prince of Persia and the prince of Greece are territorial spirits who rule over the land. Their mission was to ensure that God’s plan for Israel must not prevail because the nation would become powerful. In the same way, there are satanic angels and agents installed in your area. They are the powers that be and are ready to void your glory. These forces aim to terminate your prayer altar and relationship with God. They work day and night to seize your answered prayers, but there is an assurance of victory for every child of God.
In our Bible reading, Jesus highlighted the importance of arresting territorial powers before one can triumph. Before you can excel in that neighbourhood, career, or investment, you need a higher power to eject the dominant forces. In the case of Daniel’s angel, he needed Archangel Michael to defend him against the two princes of darkness (Daniel 10:21). This day, you will engage the Holy Spirit and God’s warring angels to win the battles of your life. And you shall emerge victorious, in Jesus’ name.
