TAKE HEED!
2 Timothy 3:1-5 (5) – They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! (NLT)
A man was cutting some tree branches on his compound. While pulling the branches, he discovered that they were not part of the tree. From a distance, the branches seem to originate from the same source, but they were actually spiral plants that stretched onto the tree from the outside.
This story is similar to human fellowship with God. There are people or vessels that seem to be rooted in Christ but are disconnected. These people enjoy the praises of men, but their hearts are far from God. No one can mock God—the absence of genuine consecration and the Holy Spirit amounts to deception and placing religion above Christ’s knowledge. This is what the world experiences.
Today’s Bible reading reveals that many will become religious and get carried away by routine and the praise that comes with their perceived status with God. People will act as if they love one another, but inwardly, they are devourers. Some profess Jesus but don’t live in the reality of His power.
Beloved, the solution to this is clear. The scripture says we must flee from such fellows, whether in church or association. This is because anyone led by individuals who are not of God will be destroyed. On the other hand, we must personally take heed because, like that tree branch, it’s easy to mix religion with true worship. This is why we need the Holy Ghost to challenge us in our Christian journey. It is my prayer that none of us will fall away, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

3. Father, please realign my path and purpose with Your divine agenda.
