SETBACK TO A STEP-UP
Job 14:7-9 (7) – “Even a tree has more hope! If it is cut down, it will sprout again and grow new branches. (NLT)
There was a lady who was on a courtship with a military man. Unfortunately, the man jilted her by refusing to show up at the wedding. The lady almost passed out, but years later, she got married to a major general in the army who also happened to be the state administrator. However, the beautiful part is that the one who broke up with the woman was the aide-de-camp (secretary) to her husband. Therefore, anytime the couple had official and non-official functions, the man served them at their command.
This true story recalls the occurrence between Mordecai and Haman. At God’s intervention, the king ordered Haman to decorate Mordecai, whom he had planned to kill. Interestingly, the hater was then executed in the gallows he had prepared for Mordecai (Esther 6-7). I pray for you! Those mockers who had thought it is over for you shall be first to carry coolers of rice at your celebration party, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, why have you been moaning about your life and past issues? (Matthew 6:25-34). Have you forgotten that before a massive downpour comes a mighty wind? Even today’s Bible reading assures us that regardless of our trials and disappointments if we do not give up praying and trusting God, we shall rise again! (Psalm 37:4; Proverbs 24:16). Therefore, relax your mind. Refuse to be grounded and depressed. Arise from that episode; it is worth less than your glorious tomorrow. More importantly, you need Jesus to transform your setbacks to greater heights!

2. Lord, destroy every storm of shame, sicknesses, and reproach in my life (mention).

2. Father, please cause my current challenges to lead me to my place of destiny.
3. Lord, as individuals, families, community, and the Church, give us a new beginning!
