SEASON OF REFRESHING
Acts 3:19 – Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, (NIV)
The season of refreshing is a time of revival and a moment to cool what was deemed unbearable. Every part of God’s creation and humanity needs time to refresh in order to revalidate their purpose of existence. Sarah is a good example because she had passed menopause. But her body experienced a time of refreshing at the divinely appointed time, and she became fruitful at 90 (Genesis 21:1–7).
The season of refreshing could also mean a new identity. In John 9:1–11, after the blind beggar received his sight, his neighbours could not recognise him because the tide turned in his favour. I pray for you that this month, even your family members will be surprised at how God will assist you, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Beloved, we can also receive the season of refreshing when we live in the consciousness of God’s reality. Whosoever maintains a holy lifestyle, praying, studying the scriptures, and following the leading of the Holy Spirit, will never lack refreshing. Today’s Bible reading assures us of the times of refreshing when we repent and turn to God completely. Therefore, the ball is in your court. If necessary, confess your sins, repent, and be sensitive to God’s move even as you tell Him what you want for refreshment. You will testify, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
