2 Corinthians 1:10 – Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; (KJV)

Read: Psalms 118:17

November 13, 2015, is a grievous day to remember as over 132 people died in three separate attacks in Paris. However, a man named Sylvestre miraculously escaped death because he was receiving a phone call when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest. A shrapnel (a fragment of the bomb) splashed towards his head but only drilled a hole through his phone and not his head.

The Almighty God can rescue His own people whenever they are in trouble and with whatever it takes. Isaiah 59:19 says, “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Surely, the defensive workings of God may be invincible, but you can rest assured of your safety when you put your trust in Him.

There might be someone whose life is caught up in a flood, and you need intervention lest you give up. I have good news for you: God, who rescued Sylvestre supernaturally, will show up for you in Jesus’ name. Though you are encamped around with fears, you will enjoy peace and a sound mind. If you have been given a set time to die shortly, you will lay claim to the Apostle Paul’s testimony in today’s reading. The great deliverer will save you from all forms of disaster and death. You will live longer in health and wealth!

Hymn: Jesus Saves — Priscilla J. Owens (1882)

1. Thank God for shielding you and your family from the storms of life.

2. Raise your hand and say, Father, please rescue me from these issues: sickness, joblessness, and debts. (Mention).

1. Father, arise against the wickedness of the wicked in our nations and the Church. Let peace reign!

2. Any tree planted to represent me and to work against my destiny, I crush you!

3. Any cankerworm eating the benefits of my labour, marriage, and destiny, dry up!
