1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Never stop praying. (NLT)
Prayer is a direct mode of communication with God. It is the master key to every door. The devil knowing this, raised forces to hunt people down if they don’t pray. Therefore, a prayerless fellow is like a toothless lion that can be tamed, controlled and killed anytime. As seen in our Bible reading, we need to equip our lives with ceaseless prayers so that we don’t become preys! We live in a dangerous world, and no wonder Jesus said that men ought to pray tirelessly (Luke 18:1). Of more importance is that Christ led by example because He lived a prayer-filled life. On one occasion, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground (Luke 22:44).
Beloved, without much ado, if you want to succeed in any good thing, you must pray! If you desire divine intervention, pray! Do you want to fulfil your destiny? You better pray in order not to be hunted. Indeed, there are consequences when we fail to pray. For instance, the enemies do not sleep nor slumber; they do everything to get their targets (Matthew 13:25-28). So, whenever we fail to pray, we are playing into their hands. How many hours do you spend on prayers daily? But I live a busy life and go to work’. Is it not because you are alive and healthy? Above all, we must pray to strengthen our bond with God and to understand His will for us (Matthew 6:6).
Hymn: Sweet Hour of Prayer – William W. Walford (1845)
1. Father, give me the grace to pray without ceasing and continually be on fire for You.
1. I terminate every plan of the enemies to manipulate and exterminate my glory.
2. Father, please send me an angel tonight and always.
3. Holy Spirit, overshadow my life and make my impossibilities possible!
4. Lord Jesus, help the Church, my family and me, to trust and obey You in all circumstances.
YOU SHALL SUCCEED, BUT PRAY!
