John 14:26 – But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. (NIV)

Before Christ began his ministry, he was baptised with the Holy Ghost (Matthew 3:16-17). When he left us physically, he left us with the Holy Spirit. As seen in today’s Bible reading, the Holy Spirit is our certified guardian in the quest to know and fulfil our purpose. There are people whose purpose is to feed nations. Some are to encourage others, while for another, it could be to heal the broken-hearted. We need discernment, power, and grace to identify our part in destiny. All of this is given by the Holy Spirit because we can do nothing without his assistance (Acts 1:8).

Beloved, it could be that you haven’t found your purpose because you don’t thirst for the baptism of the Holy Spirit or maybe you haven’t prioritised His place in your plans. I encourage you to go back to the basics. Deliberately walk in line with God’s principles (as we have been studying since Monday) and ask the Holy Spirit to possess you afresh to guide you into the realisation of your purpose. Commune with him regularly and be determined to succeed. You are never a failure until you give up (Proverbs 24:10). Work hard and rest assured that when you are in the lane of divine purpose, every contrary agenda for your life cannot stand. Stick to God’s direction (Word).

Hymn: I Must Tell Jesus — Elisha A. Hoffman (1894)

1. Ask for the infilling of the Spirit of God. Tell him to reveal your reason for existence and give you all you need to fulfil your destiny.

1. Father, please strengthen me on this path of purpose and open my eyes to visions.

2. I declare that I shall not be guilty of squandering opportunities. Instead, I receive energy and assistance in times of need.

3. Father, please make me righteous so that my prayers will be potent and yield results.
