LIVING THROUGH THANKSGIVING

Psalms 146:1-2 (2) – I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. (NIV)

The Christian radio host and author, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth, wrote that “Thanksgiving really should be thanksliving—a way of life—morning, noon and night—continually, forever giving thanks to the Lord.” What this means is that gratitude should be a lifestyle and must be observed as if our lives depended on it. David had this understanding and declared in today’s Bible reading and Psalms 150:6 that, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”. If you truly have the breath of God, you will constantly give Him thanks.

Thanksgiving starts in the mind and plays out in our actions. We saw the example of a life of gratitude in Jesus, who continually gave thanks to God before He performed miracles (John 6:5-11). Christ’s attitude of gratitude signifies an unshaken level of faith. He lived by thanksgiving, knowing that God would do whatever He asked for. Beloved, in the same way, I encourage you to build the foundation of your Christian journey on thanksgiving, and you will be surprised at how far your faith can grow.

However, your first task in this new month is to count your blessings and glorify the Lord who has kept you hitherto. Let His praise never cease in your mouth, because thanksgiving is the secret to enjoying more blessings.

2. Begin to give quality thanks to God!

(MIDNIGHT PRAISE)

2. I drink the blood of Jesus and swallow the fire of the Holy Ghost.
