Luke 1:37 – For with God nothing shall be impossible. (KJV)

Joseph dreamt that his elder ones, including his parents, bowed to him. Consequently, his brothers envied and sold him into slavery. There are a few things to learn here. First, God can give insights into our lives through dreams and revelation. Isaiah 30:21 says: Wherever you turn to, your ears will hear a voice, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Therefore, it is vital to be sensitive to every detail in our walk with God.

Another fact is that if your vision does not cause people to doubt or despise you, check again and dream big! We are children of the Father, who created and shaped the universe creatively (Psalm 104:24-25). In the same manner, our dreams should never be ordinary. Apostle Paul, in Philippians 4:13, declared that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Indeed, we can fulfil our ‘gigantic vision’, according to the power working in us (Ephesians 3:20).

The final thing to learn is that, in most cases, God uses the haters and mockers of your dream as stepping stones to greatness. If Joseph’s brethren had not traded him, how would he have gotten to Egypt? If he had not rejected Mrs Potiphar’s seduction, how could he have interpreted the dreams that brought his recommendation to the palace? (Genesis 39-41). Similarly, Haman, who belittled Mordecai, was the one God used to decorate and announce Mordecai before he was killed where he initially prepared to execute him (Esther 6-7).

Beloved, do you have a dream? If yes! Is it big enough? If not, go back to the God of Joseph. He will reveal His mind towards you. Above all, pray fervently, plan, write the vision and run with it (Habakkuk 2:3). As assured by our Bible reading, your dream shall become a reality.

Hymn: I Must Tell Jesus — Elisha A. Hoffman (1894)

1. Father, You that fulfilled Joseph’s dream, please fulfil my dreams.

1. Father, please rescue me from household and general destiny killers.

2. Ask God to fulfil your dreams for this week, month, year, and lifetime (spend quality time on this).
