LESSONS FROM DAVID
Psalm 23:4-6 (4) – Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (KJV)
In today’s Bible reading, David declared that regardless of what he faces, he would neither be moved nor afraid because he knows that God will comfort and stabilise him in challenging times. Based on when God delivered him from Goliath and Saul, David was confident in God’s ability to save. More importantly, David was a man of praise and a chaser of God’s heart, and that’s why God prepared a table before him to shame his adversaries. I decree over your life that God shall cause you to prevail over your relentless enemies, in Jesus’ name.
Beloved, if you make God your cornerstone, He can do much more for you than He did for David (Psalm 46). Give your all to God and trust in His power to deliver, even when the storm rages. At that moment when it seems the enemies are winning, like David rested in God, pray, praise the Lord, and study the Word, and you shall become victorious. Above all, make it a point of duty to permanently live in the reality of God. Your faith will never fail you. May God bless you and make His face shine on you.
Hymn: He Leadeth Me – Joseph H. Gilmore (1862)
1. I receive grace to wait on God to praise and chase after Him like David.
1. I receive the power to make righteousness my lifestyle and watchword.
2. Whether in the day or night, I shall enjoy mercy, abundance, rest, restoration, revival, and divine revelation.
3. Holy Ghost, empower me not to be too big for correction.
4. Thou aggression of the wicked over our nations, family and the church, be neutralised.
“I declare that I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hence, let nobody, principalities, contrary family patterns, sicknesses, and curses trouble me” (Galatians 6:17)
