LEARN FROM JOSEPH
Luke 1:37 – For with God nothing shall be impossible. (KJV)
In his dream, Joseph saw that his elders bowed to him, and he told the family. This made the brothers envious and sold Joseph into slavery. The first lesson is that God can reveal information about your life through dreams and revelations. Isaiah 30:21 says: “Wherever you turn to, your ears will hear a voice, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Be sensitive to every detail in your walk with God.
The second lesson is that if your dream does not cause people to doubt or despise you, dare to dream big! As a child of the most high God, your vision should never be ordinary. Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13 that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Indeed, you can fulfil your great vision only by the power of the Holy Spirit at work in you.
The final thing to learn is that God sometimes uses the haters and mockers of your dreams to push you to greater heights. If Joseph’s brothers had not traded him, he wouldn’t have gotten to Egypt. Again, if Joseph hadn’t rejected Mrs Potiphar’s seduction, he wouldn’t have been to prison where he got the recommendation to the palace.
Beloved, the conclusion of Joseph’s story is that nothing is impossible with God, as seen in today’s Bible reading. Therefore, I encourage you to dream big and nurture it. If you need clarity, talk to God to reveal His clear plan for you so that you can walk with it and fulfil your dreams.
PRAYER
Hymn: I Must Tell Jesus — Elisha A. Hoffman (1894)
1. Father, you who fulfilled Joseph’s dream, please fulfil my dreams.
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Father, please rescue me from the household and societal destiny killers.
2. Holy Spirit, please make my visions clearer, and provide the resources to accomplish the visions.
3. Ask God to fulfil your dreams for the month, year, and lifetime (spend quality time on this and pray in the Holy Ghost).
YOUR DREAMS ARE ACCOMPLISHED
