I TESTIFY

Psalm 119:46 – I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. (KJV)

We learnt yesterday about the magnificence of God to do the impossible things. With Christ’s testimony, there is no doubt that everything is possible to those who believe (Mark 9:23). Therefore, today, we focus on the power in testifying of divine wonders.

Testimony is evidence of the competence of someone or an object to act. There is nothing more powerful than the testimony of what God has done and can do. In Mark 5:1-20, after Jesus had healed the man possessed with 6,000 demons, the man begged to go with Him. But Jesus told him, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” (19). It was recorded in verse 20 that the man started testifying in the region of Decapolis about what Christ had done for him, and the people were amazed.

The man had a pure intention to follow Jesus. In appreciation, he was willing to go in the path of ministry. However, Christ’s response places more importance on testifying to the people (family and community). This is because your relatives and friends who knew you and your background are the ones who will first notice what has changed about you. Through this, they and others would surrender to your God! (John 4:48).

“Let your testimony begin from within and spread it out!”

Beloved, testimonies are live wire of faith because they strengthen our belief in God’s ability to transform our situations (Revelation 12:11). Whatever benefit you enjoy today, be it the gift of life and the answer to your prayers, it is given to you for testimony. As David proclaimed in our Bible reading, boldly tell your experience of God and His goodness to your neighbours and even the enemies through which you can win them over.

PRAYER

(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)

1. Alone with God – tell all to God!

GOD HEARS!
