HUNTED BUT STRONGER!

2 Corinthians 4:5-10 (9) – We are hunted down but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (NLT)

A missionary was jailed and tortured so that he could renounce his faith. Despite the persecutions, this man never chickened out. Even when spat at, he neither reacted nor bowed to pressure. He knew whom He believeth and kept persevering until his oppressors got tired and released him. There are strength and gain in endurance!

1 Peter 2:20B says: ‘But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.

We see another story of Horatio G. Spafford, who lost all his four daughters in a ship disaster, yet, himself and wife, never abandoned Christ. Instead, they invested more in their ministry. Indeed, for Christians, there will be trials and temptations, but the good news is that we are victorious! (John 16:33). More so, Apostle Paul’s testimony in today’s Bible reading gives encouragement of hope and resoluteness in God.

Beloved, no matter the circumstances; don’t quit. Keep stirring! Eat the Word, pray, work hard and be hopeful. Above all, ‘Let the glory ahead shape your reality.’ (Romans 8:18-19). Be Born Again!

PRAYER

Hymn: It Is Well with My Soul – Horatio G. Spafford (1873)

1. Father, come what may; help me to stand firm by Your grace and power.

2. Please pray for every worker and minister of God.

(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)

1. I decree! Satan, you have lost the plot and battle over my life, family, nation and the church.

2. Father, turn the food of my relentless attackers to stones and their power to water.

3. Lord Jesus, fish out every Judas in the company of my life.

YOU SHALL RECEIVE THE NEWS OF JOY!
