HOPE FOR YOU!

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 (9) – We are hunted down but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (NLT)

Read: Romans 8:18-19

The experience of Paul, as chronicled in our Bible reading, gives courage to the present generation of believers. For the sake of the gospel, Paul had a taste of persecution at several points. He suffered shipwreck, imprisonment, and beatings, yet he never threw in the towel. Paul eventually became one of the greatest apostles that ever lived.

The story of Joyce Meyer is also encouraging. As a child, Joyce’s father raped her at least two hundred times. But she refused to be weighed down by the abuse, and today, Joyce is an impactful gospel ambassador. She is blessed with a husband, four children, and many grandchildren. God can transform a dire situation into a testimony of hope and glory.

Beloved, the typical life of a Christian is full of temptations and trials from both the physical and spiritual realms. However, there is an overcoming grace that is made available through Christ. It was by this grace that Paul prevailed. Therefore, let this assurance power your wheel of faith so you can persevere like Paul and become what God wants you to be, as Joyce Meyer did despite her terrible experience.

No matter your circumstances at this moment, don’t give up! Instead, study the Word, pray fervently, work hard, and let God’s glory shape your reality.
