GOD’S LOVE!
Psalms 121:1-8 (3) – He will not let your foot slip– he who watches over you will not slumber; (NIV)
A little boy was pushing his roller at a dangerous pace. His Dad tried to stop him, but he thought the father wanted to disrupt his play without knowing that the man had foreseen the possible outcome. The child felt he didn’t need his Dad! So, he left for another platform, and as usual, the man tried guarding him. But the boy screamed to show a sign of ‘let me be’, and suddenly, he slipped and almost fell. However, the father was there to grab him lest he banged his head on the floor.
Beloved, this is similar to how we are as little children to God. Many of us, still toy with iniquity and tread on the path of destruction. The boy in our case study was preoccupied with the present pleasure and almost got himself injured. This could refer to the sins that easily distracts us; nevertheless, our God being a loving Father just as that Dad, is always there to forgive, guide, and pick us when we stumble as seen in our Bible reading (1 John 1:9). He wants the best for us and has outlined the instructions that we should follow in the Scriptures (Joshua 1:8).
More importantly, the Lord left with us the Holy Spirit, to be our manager (John 16:5-15). That’s why we must build a concrete relationship with God. Peradventure, you are still basking in sin. Repent and embrace Jesus today. He shall watch over you!
