Isaiah 43:7 – Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.” (NKJV)

God’s supremacy and splendour are unendingly magnificent (Daniel 4:35; Psalms 72:19). In Genesis 1:26-27, He created man in His image to have dominion and reflect His glory as affirmed in our Bible reading. However, Satan, whose plan is to kill and destroy (John 10:10), had devised means to withhold men from fulfilling destiny until they get to the graves (Daniel 10:12-13).

What are the forces behind this glory after death? They are powers that will not allow you to finish, despite your years of labour just as of Moses (Numbers 20:12). These forces are glory hunters who seize blessings and will not release people’s fame until they are plagued. For example, it was after a footballer slumped while playing that he became extraordinarily famous. But is that not normal? Watch! That is how the devil operates, to make you see tragedies as usual occurrence meanwhile the havoc has been done.

In Judges 16, Samson, despite being powerful, fell for Delilah’s laps. Even though Samson killed more at his death than when alive, it was too late (Glory after Death). I pray for you, you shall not be famous through calamity, in Jesus’ name or what shall it profit a man to be stripped of his dignity while alive and then released after death? Only Christ took the glory after demise because He rose on the third day (Matthew 28:18). Therefore, death before honour is not permitted in your life because you are now of God (John 1:12-13).

Hymn: Jesus Saves — Priscilla J. Owens (1882)

1. Father, please rescue me from relentless pursuers of my glory that has vowed to bury me before my time.

1. Any power waiting to terminate my life, hope and destiny suddenly, scatter by the thunder-fire of God.

2. My star and glory in the camp of the oppressors, Holy Ghost, locate and release them speedily.

3. Father, You are my only source. Please, put a new song in my mouth this weekend.
