FROM THE VALLEY TO HIGHER GROUND
Acts 7:9-10 (10) – And delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. (NKJV)
Joseph’s beginning was full of hatred. However, the haters who were his brothers, never knew that they were helping him to fulfil his destiny. When the enemies wage war against you, do not worry because they might be ignorantly paving ways for your rise to the top. In 1 Samuel 16, David was a forgotten little shepherd when God prompted Samuel to ask if there was anyone still left in the house after Jesse had presented other sons. Therefore, David was anointed and rose to become king (vs 13).
Beloved, where are you now that seems the world is crashing on you? If any! Get excited because your promotion is coming. Whatever your status; perhaps you are from a poor background or struggling to make ends meet. ‘Never allow your background to push you to the ground’ (Job 8:7). Like David, God is building you for the next phase because your test-ground is an elevator to higher ground. As seen in our Bible reading, if Joseph was so much favoured in a strange land that he moved from the prison to the palace; then, we need a favour to move to higher ground in 2021 (Genesis 41:40-46). And so, you want to pray!
PRAYER

1. Lord Jesus, I thank You for where I am today and where you are taking me.
2. Father, please single me out for favour and honour that I may sing a new song.
3. Father, I am tired of the valley-life pattern of sickness, marital delays and hardship (Mention). Please, move me to higher ground.
