FOLLOW JESUS!
1 Corinthians 11:1-34 (1) – Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ (KJV)
A member is one of the individuals in a church (has no specific task or relevance). But, a follower serves and follows the teachings of another. It is crucial to check ourselves if we are mere associates or Christ’s disciples. We saw the ‘term’ used by Jesus in Matthew 4:18-22 when He began to gather His disciples— He told Peter and Andrew, ‘Come, follow me’. The same thing said He to James and John so that they immediately left their boat and father, to ‘follow’ Jesus!
Beloved, ‘followership comes with responsibilities’ because after Jesus had initially spoken to Peter and Andrew, He then said, ‘…I will send you out to fish for people.’ In other words, they got a duty and authority! (Acts 1:8). Further, Paul was devoted to Christ. Despite his challenges, he spread the gospel to the world (2 Corinthians 4). No wonder, in our Bible reading, he charged us to imitate him and move from the level of ‘spectators to players’. Which side are you? An unbeliever, believer or an active born-again in God’s vineyard? (Matthew 28:16-20). Examine yourself and ask the Holy Spirit to help you!

1. Father, please give me a fresh encounter and open my eyes to my calling!

1. Whatever will not allow me to get to the top, and laugh last this week. Father, remove it!
2. Any power assigned to deliver me unto death, bow to the lordship of Jesus!
3. Father, let it rain again in our lives, homes, nation, and the church.
‘You can’t be a Christ’s Ambassador with just a membership identity. Get involved!’
