FINAL DEATH
Revelation 21:1-27 (8) – “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” (NLT)
There are three types of death. The natural, spiritual, and the second death. The natural is the end of a man’s existence (Psalms 146:4). Though not everyone will die because people will be alive when the trumpet sounds (Matthew 24:36-51), yet anyone living in sin is spiritually dead (Romans 6:23). The second death is the eternal damnation that happens to every sinner after the natural death (or rapture).
The second death was first mentioned in the letter to the church in Smyrna (Revelation 2:11). Again, it was cited in Revelation 20:6, 12-15 where John equates it to the lake of fire (the destination of those whose names were missing in the Book of Life). Lastly, this final death appeared in today’s Bible reading. There, we see the classifications of sinners who will have their part in the second death (Zephaniah 1:14-18).
Beloved, do you still bask in sin such as telling lies, fornicating, backbiting, gossiping and stealing, among other things? Remember! Christ has given us everything that pertains to righteousness and victory over iniquity and death (2 Peter 1:3-11). Therefore, irrespective of the filthiness, if you repent, confess, and accept Jesus as your Lord; He will blot out your transgressions and save you from the final death! (2 Corinthians 5:17).

2. Anything within and around me that is igniting the fire of affliction; scatter!
3. Father, please restore my divine crown and that of the church, homes and nations.
4. Pray against terminal sicknesses and losses!
