“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”
Mark 10:46-52 (48) – “Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (NLT)
“Enough is Enough” is a term that indicates one’s tiredness about an issue. It is a decision to put an end to something in readiness to take the next action. When a fellow determines that enough is enough, it signals a time of change. In the case of blind Bartimaeus, his “Enough is Enough” was that he was resolute to receive his healing. He became angry at living in perpetual darkness. Therefore, at the slightest information that Jesus was passing by, Bartimaeus began to shout, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” As seen in today’s Bible reading, the people tried to silence him, but the one who knew what he wanted; cried out the more, and Jesus stood still to restore his sight.
The world we live in today calls for spiritual tenacity because it is only the strong-willed people that would emerge with a tangible victory (Matthew 11:12). When the circumstances of life and the mockers who see your diligence in serving God try to lay siege by reminding you of your shame and limitations, your desperation to encounter and stick with Jesus is what will help you triumph. How genuine is your desperation? It takes men and women who are tired of their situations to break through because the deepness of your “Enough is Enough” triggers your move of faith (Hebrews 11:6).
“Your solutions lie within you. It’s a matter of if you are comfortable with the situations around you”.
Beloved, I don’t know what your case is at this moment. Maybe you have been stuck in life, seeking for job, healing, or marriage? If you determine that “Enough is Enough” of the reproach, you will begin to study the word, pray continually and be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. Sooner than later, you shall testify of God’s goodness in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER
Hymn: Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose — Charlotte Elliott (1836)
1. Thank God for life, help and a new season.
2. Father! I acknowledge that only you can change situations. Please, make my case a global faith-boosting testimony (Pray until you have peace).
(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)
1. Where is the God of Elijah? Arise, let my story change (mention).
2. The physical and spiritual idol of my life. I’m done with you. Release me and catch fire!
3. I (Name), I refuse depression, confusion, loss of hope and self-value. Rather! I excel, shine, prosper and lend to nations (Prophesy – Job 22:28).
GOD BLESS YOU!
