DON’T GIVE UP ON THE YEAR
Ecclesiastes 7:8 – The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. (NIV)
We sometimes make quick decisions on our lives’ issues resulting in regret. For example, this is December, and some projects might still be unaccomplished, so that we may have written off the plans and year. But, don’t judge a book by its cover. You can finish stronger! In John 5:1-12, we see an example of an impotent man whom before stepping into the pool; someone would have jumped in. Despite that, he never gave up for thirty-eight years, and one day, Jesus set him free! Likewise, if the woman with the twelve years issue of blood had concluded her case, she wouldn’t have touched Jesus and got her healing (Matthew 9:18-26).
Beloved, what have you chased so far in 2020 that you now feel like giving up? Refuse to quit or judge yourself, because today’s Bible reading tells us that our past and background doesn’t matter as much as how we finish. God is the Alpha and Omega who saves the best for the last. He did it for Sarah, who eventually had a son for Abraham (Genesis 21:1-7). That is why I can decree that your story won’t be an exception– You too shall rejoice and testify, in Jesus’ name. Therefore, be hardworking, hold on and watch out while you pray. It will happen!
