DON’T GIVE UP!
Ecclesiastes 7:8
The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. (NIV)
Based on the reality of things, it is possible that some of your dreams and aspirations might still be unfulfilled at this point. This may have caused you to write off your plans and lose hope. But I encourage you never to give up or judge your book by its cover because you can still finish stronger.
There is an interesting story of a man in John 5:1-12. He was paralysed and couldn’t get into the healing pool at Bethesda on time because, before he stepped into the water, someone else would have jumped in. Despite this, the man never gave up for 38 years. He stayed there, and one day, Jesus met him to set him free!
Beloved, what you are passing through might be similar to this man’s situation. It may be that you have prayed, chased those projects, and worked on your ambitions diligently with no results, so you feel like giving up. Like the man at the pool of Bethesda, refuse to quit or look back because today’s Bible reading reveals that the past and the unfavourable circumstances that surround you don’t matter as much as what lies ahead. God is the Alpha and Omega who saves the best for last. As you continue faithfully in prayer, working hard, and waiting while sensitive to the Holy Spirit, you will achieve your dreams, in Jesus’ name. Watch out. It will happen!
