Psalm 37:24 – Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. (KJV)

We can learn from Jabez who was born in sorrow prompting his mother to give him a contrary name. Despite all, this man never gave up—he cried to God, and his story changed (1 Chronicles 4:9-10). Similarly, an impotent man had been at the pool of Bethesda for 38 years because he had nobody to help him. But he never gave up, so that one day, he encountered Jesus and that settled it (John 5:1-9). I believe God for you today, that as you pray, power shall change hands in your life, in Jesus’ name.

What are you battling that you feel like throwing in the towel? Hold on! Since we are alive, challenges may be inevitable, but they are not death sentences (Proverbs 24:10). I once worked at a place that I thought my potentials were being wasted, later I realised that God was building me for the future. Do not quit that job, business, marriage, ministry or study, because, God is up to something! Remember, a gold must pass through fire before becoming pure. Your glory is about to manifest and shine brighter!

Beloved, get the understanding that problems become stepping stones when we take the right steps and actions. These steps are that you must not quit trusting God, being diligent, prayerful and studying the Word, which assures us as seen in our Bible reading that even when we fall, it does not signify the end because God’s hand shall keep us!

Hymn: He will Answer every Prayer — Mary Bernstecher (1914)

1. Father, give me the grace to wait on You and never to look down on myself.

2. Father, please turn my story to glory and enlarge my coast as You did to Jabez.

1. Father, empower me with the spiritual, physical, mental (wisdom) and financial strength I need, to excel.

2. Father, as an individual, nation and the church, please resurrect our dead dreams and virtues.

3. Pray for the discouraged and the broken-hearted people.
