DISCOVER YOUR MINISTRY

2 Timothy 4:1-8 (5) – But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. (NIV)

Read: Romans 12:3-8

Joseph went through thick and thin right from when it was perceived that their father preferred him to his brethren. This resulted in Joseph’s sojourn in slavery in Egypt, leading to his imprisonment. However, he had the gift of interpretation of dreams, so God made Pharaoh have a mysterious dream that only Joseph could interpret. Joseph’s ministry caused him to be promoted while Egypt became the most prosperous nation.

Paul also lived in ignorance and persecuted Christians. But after he had an encounter with God in Acts 9, his ministry began, and he became one of the greatest Christ advocates of all time. In 1 Corinthians 15:9-10, Paul said:

‘‘For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am…’’

No matter how static or redundant you think yourself to be, you have a unique gift and calling that must benefit the kingdom of God. Your situation should not be an excuse or stop you from identifying and manifesting your talents. Despite the family and societal limitations against Joseph and Paul’s bad records, they both were able to discover their purposes and use them for the glory of God.

Beloved, have you discovered your ministry and been using it? If the answer is yes, glory be to God! But if you are yet to identify your gifts, you will pray and look inward today because there is something in you that is meant to bless nations. It could be singing, praying, or writing ministry. Discover your ministry and discharge your duties, as our Bible reading admonishes. God bless you!

PRAYER

Song: Open the Eyes of My Heart – Michael W. Smith (2001)

1. Father, help me to discover myself and my ministry in order to fulfil my purpose in destiny.

(MIDNIGHT PRAYER)

1. Father, I thank You because I’m peculiar and wonderfully made.

2. Holy Spirit, revive my dead spiritual and prayer life and possess me afresh with the fruits of the spirit.

MAKE FULL PROOF OF THY MINISTRY!
