DELIVERANCE FROM BLOODLINE ERROR

God’s ultimate plan is to have a cordial relationship with humankind. But after Adam and Eve sinned, man was subjected to labour before eating and must return to dust (Genesis 3:17-19). Through the Adamic bloodline, everyone born of a man lives by this pattern. Therefore, we must pay attention to our ancestry because its spiritual implication outweighs what the physical can behold. Let’s examine Gehazi’s action in 2 Kings 5:19-27. This man went after Naaman to collect the gift Elisha had refused. Consequently, Gehazi’s greed brought the scourge of leprosy on himself and his descendants. The emphasis here is that sin or a ‘broken covenant’ is usually the root of a negative bloodline.
The good news is that we can discern the way out of this evil pattern by studying what God did after the fall of man. The first thing God did was that He covered Adam and Eve’s nakedness with animal skin (Genesis 3:21). Isaiah 53:7, John 1:29 and Revelation 13:8 all testify that Christ is the lamb that was slain for our redemption. The second step God took was the provision of salvation through Jesus Christ that whosoever believe in Him shall be saved (John 3:16).
The final step as seen in our Bible reading was Christ’s triumph over hell which paid for our bloodline defaults. Through the cross, we have victory by the blood of the lamb (Revelation 12:11). The name of Jesus and His blood are the antidotes to any physical or invisible evil manifestation of ancestral pattern. It doesn’t matter the severity of your forefathers’ atrocities and curses; if you accept Christ and live by His principles, you won’t pay the costs of your inherited negative past (Isaiah 49:25).

You will take the three steps that God took:
1. Accept Jesus or rededicate to Him and ask for the forgiveness of sin (confess);
2. Tell the Lord to cover every nakedness as a result of your family pattern;
3. Use the blood of Jesus to scatter the root of evil in your foundation.
