COSTLY ERROR
2 Peter 3:1-18 (17) – Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position (NIV).

I was having a walk when I heard a faint whisper of “Hello”. I looked in that direction and saw a lonely figure of a man peeping through the window. He began to narrate his story, which is summarised as follows: This man was a dedicated missionary until he fell like a pack of cards when he tasted a bottle of beer and started drinking. He soon graduated from taking hard drugs and partying, where he met a beautiful lady who got him infected with HIV.
The devil is so crafty in his works. If he gave up on you, then you are not a threat! This is because Satan will always try to pull down an effective soldier of Christ. No matter how morally or spiritually strong you thought yourself to be, you must take heed. As today’s Bible text says, be mindful so you do not fall prey to the tricks of darkness.
What are those little acts of sin you engage in and count as though they were nothing? Desist from them before they ruin you! Perhaps you are indulging in fornication or adultery. Stop! It could lead to abortion and death. If you still tell white or small lies and call it diplomacy, they can mislead others and lead you to hell. Whether you are a minister of God or a disciple, a little error can crash your anointing and ministry. Watch it and watch out!

1. Father, I repent or rededicate my life today (confess). Please forgive me and let the Holy Spirit guide me to avoid making errors.
