ANOTHER DECISION
Psalm 57:7 – My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. (KJV)
Another decision we must never gamble with is the choice of eternity. If we understand that our lives must be lived for God and that heaven awaits us, then we would live righteously (Romans 12:1-2). It is either you serve God or Satan— you must make a choice! (Revelation 3:15-16). Apostle Paul is an example of someone who had lived both lifestyles (sin and redemption). He reckoned that being in Christ is far glorious than basking in sin (Galatians 2:17-21).
Sin is a reproach— no matter how sweet, it will catch you out (Proverbs 14:34). But Paul, despite his terrible past, decided for God and was dignified (1 Corinthians 15:9-10). Therefore, we need to examine our salvation and the fruits we bear. Are we still in the faith or compromising with the world? Peradventure your appetite for Godly things is depreciating, and you now find pleasure in worldliness. It is time to return to the first love and decision you made to follow Jesus because we must get to that level of ‘Christ or nothing’ (Luke 9:57-62).
Beloved, David was also a man whose heart was fixed on God, as seen in our Bible reading. He decided to please and praise God always. No wonder, God called him a man after my heart (Acts 13:22). As you too will decide for God; to stick with Him, He shall guarantee your smooth journey to the top. Wait on Him!
