Mark 7:31-37 (37) – People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” (NIV)

All the way, my Saviour leads me; what else do I need besides this? I can’t deny God’s mercy which has guided me through my existence. I have enjoyed heavenly peace, comfort, and dwell in Christ by faith because He directs my steps, gives me grace for every trial, and feeds me with the living bread although my feet may sometimes fail while my soul thirsts, yet, I have Jesus as my rock and spring of joy. Therefore, whatever befall me, I have the assurance that Jesus does all things well. I behold the fullness of His love! For, God has promised me a perfect rest when my spirit becomes immortal. So, I look forward to this day as it has become my song because Jesus leads me all the way!

The above is the edited hymn of a woman who got blind shortly after birth. She never allowed her disability to hinder her potentials so that she wrote over 8,000 hymns and songs, which has blessed generations. Her name is Frances J. Crosby, born on March 24, 1820.

Beloved, what is your own excuse? In the stormy season, are you able to trust God? Because He still heals and does miracles as seen in our Bible reading. Therefore, I encourage you this day, never to give up nor write off yourself (Proverbs 24:10, 16); instead, like Frances, transform your weakness to positivity with the understanding that ‘Jesus doeth all things perfectly’ (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

Hymn: To God be the Glory – Frances J. Crosby (1875)

1. Lord Jesus, in my waiting, help me to know that all things are working for my good.

2. Jesus Christ, I surrender my imperfections at Your throne. Please, remould me.

1. Every unfavourable past that the devil is using to torment me. Holy Ghost! Neutralise it.

2. Lord, You are the Great Physician; please uproot every:

A. Abnormal growth in my body.

B. Weakness in my spiritual and prayer life.

C. Offensive attitude in my relationship with You and man.
